Postdoctoral Research
Dr. Yemko Pryor is a Historical Population Geneticist and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow working in Dr. Tina Lasisi’s Lab. In 2025, Dr. Pryor earned her PhD from the Genetics & Molecular Biology Program at Emory University. In 2018, Dr. Pryor earned her B.A. from Oberlin College where she double majored in Biology & Africana Studies. Dr. Pryor’s current work in the Lasisi Lab is centered around exploring the vastness of biologically relevant information that can be extrapolated from human hair shafts. She is broadly interested in exploring human variation through the combined application of both genetic and epigenetic.
